Klunk, klunk every trip

Low speed over potholes or rough terrain elicits klunks from the nearside front suspension, I was ignoring it but a passenger I had in recently, boring know all b@str@d, commented that his Skoda didn't make such a noise blah blah.

Needless to say I thew him out at the bus stop BUT he's made me more aware of it so I'll have to get it fixed. However research of the problem is confusing and I can't seem to figure out the most likely fix - I suspect a worn bush somewhere but WTF do I know - nothing Confused

At least I don't run a Skoda or have to catch the bus Thumbs Up Geoff

I had the same and it was the bush on the lower suspension arm, luckily dealers did mine while i waited, about 30 mins so cant be a big job.
My MOT Inspector friend diagnosed mine by asking me to roll the car forward in drive and sharply apply the brakes. He then did the same while I watched the car. The front wheel could be seen to move backwards towards the rear of the wheel arch. He called it a 'reaction arm' Land Rover call it a lower suspension arm. The round bush had begin to tear and was not doing its job properly.
My symptoms were exactly as you have described - potholes and rough ground, on smooth tarmac I never heard a thing.
Had it, loved it!

Not meaning to hijack the thread, but that's the thing with the RRS, when new they do clunk - a well known fault, but the FFRR only clunks when a little old & something's worn & needs replacing. If you do change muddy, you'll never have to cringe at going over a bump again. Thumbs Up

I'm sure it'll be a relativley cheap fix supershuttle. Nomally only a bit of rubber Laughing
