A longer term solution would be for car makers to put the OBD port out of reach from the glass such as under the back seat 2010 3.6TDV8 Stornoway Grey/ Black interior - gone
2005 4.4V8 (M62) Bonatti Grey/ Parchment interior - gone
1998 4.6HSE Blue/ Cream interior (can't remember exact colours) - gone
1977 White - gone (should have kept)

To be fair if they can get to the OBD port and connect into it from the window I think they deserve the car, Big Cry Bow down I struggle sitting in the car using my dextile fingers let alone the plug on a stick. Lol Rolling with laughter [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

Surely, the manufacturers can put a lockable cover over the OBD port that unlocks on the same system as the central locking so that you'd need a coded key to actually access the port?

Or placing alarm sensors in the port area so that the alarm is triggered if interfered with?

The days of simply removing the rotor arm are long gone, aren't they?! Laughing Si. <This is my name.

A tiny bit Off Topic but does anyone remember the stoplock with a tazzer in the end... Wow, the good old days huh! In this time of offensive weapons being carried in cars 'n all'...

I remember when my Range Rover came with a starting handle and I actually used it for a time whilst repairing the starter motor.
