I need to replace my windscreen wiper relay, as detailed in another thread. The battery appears to need to be removed before I can get to it - unless someone knows another way......

Knowing how sensitive FFRR are to escaping wiggly amps, is there anything I should do prior to disconnecting the battery to remove it (assuming I can actually lift it)?

Switch everything off, remove the key from the ignition and go and have a cup of tea/coffee then in 20 minutes come back and disconnect the negative terminal first, then the positive terminal

if you have the bonnet in service mode and have a step to stand on, it shouldnt be that bad.. ... - .- -.

Bonnet straight up in the vertical position small pairs of steps at the side disconnect and lift ... Viola

Battery should have handles on it? If not you should be able to slide some webbing underneath. depends on the size of what is in there at the moment.

Make sure to put some protective padding in front of the battery area to create a "landing area". There are some important pipes in that area .
