Parked the car up today at work and when I came out, I noticed the right side was slightly higher than the left.

I drove it to the garage for the Testbook session re the airbag light and it still looked high.

When I drove off and stopped at the traffic lights, I heard an almighty whoosh from the front offside and felt the car drop. No error messages for the next few miles and it even self levelled at the next set of lights.

A couple more miles and the front started to dip followed by Air Susp Inactive. At standstill, it says "self level inactive- max 35mph". Orange LED was out on the control knob.

The front of the car is now on the bump stops. Checked with RSW Allcomms and fault shown (FRONT AXLE ENGERGISE or something) and CANBUS fault.. I cleared the energiser fault and the LED came back on. I could then see the front try and lift but all I can hear is air escaping, so I guess I've got a suspension leg blown? If thats the case, why did the car stay level for around 5 miles? I thought they deflated immediately.

I can't even see behind the wheel to check, its that low!

When I heard air, it ended up being an inline connector that had split. Easy repair. You really have to find out exactly where the air is coming out of before you do anything else..  Previously..

Just been out and had a look.

I jacked each side up and ran the engine to get some air going. When I jacked the drivers side up, the suspension leg started to extend and the bag began to fill. Not longer after that, the sound of air escaping came back and when I ran my hand around the bag, I could feel it. Theres a small tear on the side

It it normal for both front legs to deflate when one goes pop? Are they linked in series or something?

I've just seen an interesting US YouTube video whereby you can just replace the air bags. Anyone know of a company in the UK that does this?

the spring conversion afaik is for the p38 isnt it ?...i havnt seen any ref to the l322 but i'm probably wrong..this would be a good alternative but i suspect the ride will not be as good as the air springs and you will loose the access/off road ability .. ... - .- -.

The air bags are available as a replacement from Arnott Industries but they're US based. I've asked them to quote me shipping.
You basically keep your existing strut and remove the defective air bag. The replacement is a big improvement over the original. The video in YouTube is by RSW solutions.
