I have a pre facelift 2005, but it has the complete touch screen system with Bluetooth.

But I had to upgrade my Bluetooth unit in order for it to work with my iPhone.

This is either by buying an expensive new one from the dealer or contacting Wiggs on here. He does an upgrade service on the Bluetooth module.

The digital tv module can be bought off EBay and then fitted DIY.

Thanks Paul, immensely comforting that Wiggs can potentially save me some money as the Bluetooth units from the stealers are crazy money !

Will definitely be purchasing the tv module as well .

So am I wrong then ?

I understood there were 3 different "flavours" of entertainment systems in the earlier years, BMW, a mix and Ford/Denso.

So the BMW upgrades obviously work with the BMW bits (ibus), but how does the pre facelift touchscreen unit interface with a later MOST (fibre optic) system hybrid tv tuner or bluetooth unit ? Do they not have some sort of gateway box to interface from ibus to Canbus ?

As I say, I don't have one, just interested as its not what I was led to believe.

Good news then. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

I don't seem to have any BMW bits in my 2005.

I bought the Land Rover/Jaguar digital TV module and used Velcro to fix it to the side of my analogue module, then swapped the leads over to my new one.

The only time you need to remove the analogue module completely is if you have RSE, the RSE module takes up all the space.

I don't have particular knowledge of the different ICE systems (other than having owned a "proper" facelift 2005 car), but from when I was searching for my car, be careful listening to the vendor's terminology of their car.
I travelled a long way on a wasted journey to look at a mis advertised car - if I'd have seen a photo I wouldn't have bothered. If it is the proper facelift car you're after (ie the one WITH a facelift !) make sure it is an 06 MY which I believe will have 06 in the VIN. Both cars (ie with/without the different front) can be '05 registered.
I say this as nose jobs are becoming quite popular as the body shape hasn't changed in ten years, but the front has. I have no problem with this, so long as they are not mis advertsied.

Buy the car that's right for you and you won't be disappointed - I'm still grieving after selling mine - six months ago . . . . . .

. . . . . but starting to look at TDV8's Whistle

Thumbs Up Where do you go after one of these . . . ?

I can supply digital tv tuners as well as sorting out your Bluetooth issues . Thumbs Up

If you have the cradle you will have Bluetooth ... You just need to search on your phone and pair with 2121.

You may be lucky and not have any pairing issues ... But you won't get your contacts to display on the screen without the Bluetooth upgrade Bluetooth Exchange www.bluetoothexchange.co.uk

All sorted on this one but a small word of caution... A picture alone of the front of the car does not always tell the full story. Maybe it's just numpties like us lot on here but my 2004 54 plate now has the 2006 facelift front end so always ask the question of the owner rather than assume it is or isn;t a facelift just by a photo. Ash
