I spoke with Vodafone yesterday as I'm due an upgrade. The current thinking, based on very little info, is that on a £42 per month, 2 year contract, you will need around £150 upfront for the handset. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black
Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Buckingham Blue

Last year I found it cheaper (TCO) to pre-order the iPhone 4S through Vodafone on a 12 month vs buying outright (which is what I normally do). This time around I plan to buy outright from Apple and stick it on either the 3 one month plan (£15 a month, unlimited data) or the Virgin one (unlimited data and texts, £12-24 depending on minutes included). I plan to order it as soon as I can and ask Voda for my PAC code. Paul

Will Vodafone also unlock it ?

I was with o2 and as soon as you are out of contract, if you ask them, they will unlock it for you.
