Tailgate trim

Does the grey tailgate trim come off? Want to colour code it and can't do it without taking it off.

If you are talking about the one above the number plate it is just held on by 3m double sided tape ,,

Just run a thin wire behind it using a sort of sawing motion and it will come off , then clean off any residue from the tape and re affix the same way …
