Hi,

Noticed over last few days a smell when getting in the car. Only seems to last a few minutes, whether that's me acclimatising to the smell or not I don't know.

The smell puts me in mind of a [left in a bag soaking wet] used training shoe... Or similar

I've scoured every inch of the cab and the nooks and crannies and every thing (incl head lining and carpets) is bone dry. No discarded apples or bananas, no old trainers and I'm in full control of my bodily functions

Could it be some form of filter or air con related smell (recharge was done last March)?

Car has never had dogs in it and has never been smoked in.

Any constructive thoughts would be appreciated please.

Carpet was my first thought Stan.

I've been on hands and knees on, around, under seats, in boot, lifting trays out, spare wheel wheels, roof lining, around sunroof, window frames... Bone dry and all in as new condition.

To be fair, others say they can't smell anything untoward. Naturally, they think I'm paranoid. Well, they didn't actually say that but I knew that was what they were thinking

Was expecting a poll filter reply too tbh... Supposedly done some time in last 2 years.

I would get an air con clean and new pollen filter, I have just had a major problem in the disco with a really bad smell, like bins. Had all the mats out, and cleaned them hoovered it out and checked all the books and crannies. Turned out to be some sort of muck in all the arches, was mch better after a total jetwash of all arches. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
