My trims are tight against the screen. If I try to lift them with my finger they do flex slightly (just a few mm though). If you can actually see them moving when you drive something is amiss. Maybe it's had a new screen fitted in the past and the pillar trims were not fitted correctly. There may be a thread or 2 about this on the forum somewhere.

Maybe the plastic clips that hold them in place are gubbed ,,,, and if they have been taken off i can only think a new windscreen has been put in … |
