Well who ordered one or will order an L405 ?

i am in - when you spec a 4.4 Vogue here it is just 2k pounds cheaper than a Autobiography - i will go for a Autobiography - just mailed my dealer to get figures on the PX of my actual FFRRSC and the new one Smile

But anyway - i will definitely get a new one/or 3 months old Ex-Demo whatever the figures will be Smile

I'll have a good look in a few weeks time at the Paris Motor Show and then plan to get the 4.4 Autobiography. However, this may be an ex demo in 12 months time. Current MY2020

I'm going to wait for about 2 years. Then there will be lots of supply of 1 year old cars - the factory registers lots of high spec Autobiogs for management and bang them out via the dealers after a year. 4.4 Autobiog with all the toys for me.

2010 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey

Jim, before you settle the spec, check your insurers policy on the panoramic roof if it gets broken. Several members over on babyRR have found that their insurers (Directline, Churchill and Admiral come to mind) are claiming that a panoramic sunroof isn't glass but bodywork (and the Evoque's costs £1600 to replace so I expect thr 405's will be even more expensive) and insist on you making an accidental damage claim on the body work rather than claiming for replacement glass with resultant loss of NCB.
BTW Havana is a fantastic colour, on a dull day it is like a dark Stornoway Grey, changes through dark brown to ginger as the sun comes out. There are loads of photos of them over on babyRR. Personally I would go for causeway or Orkney as the awful sytling strakes along the side can be almost body coloured (well using the configurator they blend in really well if you spec the dark grey plastic!) 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

@Tim...I think if anything gets deleted it will be the pano roof, can't say I use a sunroof at the best of times so don't think this would be a great loss. However I did ask the dealer about the problems encountered with the Evoque and whether there could be possible issues with the L405...he shrugged his shoulders and said "your guess is as good as mine" which I can possibly understand at this stage as the dealers are unlikely to know much more about the car than us just now but hopefully LR have put a lot of attention to this as nothing hurts a new car launch more than a design failure!!...

@Angel..Nice colour combo..Ivory is fantastic but me jumping in and out of a car with dirty jeans is not recommended and even worse if a couple of the sweaty gundogs decide to jump in when my back is turned!!! Big Cry

I'm going to wait about a year and a half, see if they have managed to iron out the usual "Land Rover New Model Issues" and them look what kind of price one year old cars are fetching.

My FFRR TDV8 was less than two years old and was £25k under list price. 40% price reduction.
While I don't expect the same rate of saving I don't want to be shafted on a whole heap of depreciation for a car that may have niggles to iron out.

Good luck to those that accept a £10-20k loss per year on a car, but I can think of better things to spend it on. Smile

As Fox says vowed that after buying my last 5 cars out the wrapper i would not do the same again due to the depreciation , much as i would like to annoy the wife and just buy one the old head says no ….

As the money saved can be used to buy another rental property …..

But will be nice to see all you members that will be getting one in the coming months .. Thumbs Up

In fact trying to talk the wife into giving me her car and she can have the Range Rover … Whistle

^ I know what you mean Mick buying a new car especially a new model is a risky thing to do and certainly expensive as far as 1st year depreciation goes...maybe hanging back for a year is the sensible thing to do let someone else take the hit and all the hassle of new car niggles save circa £30k on the depreciation and buy something like this second hand to fill the void Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

I bought a new GTR this year, depreciation is high but will be about half that of a new FFRR. They are great fun and silly fast Wink What could be a better mix than a FFRR and a GTR? Want some pics? MY23 D350 HSE

New Zealand 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Galway Green

I will wait some 5 to 6 years before I get a 405, mainly because I don't want/can't spend that much on a car. Probably will get a late model TDV8 in the mean time once we leave Nigeria (and that will be at least 2 years from now if not more). Pretty sure I will get a 405 in the future and will be looking for an Autobio preferably.

Hope I do get a chance to drive one for an extended duration (say a few days or weeks) next year though !!! MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!
