Phone issues

Hi all

After working out I have the Bluetooth unit that wiggs can't upgrade I decided to revert to using an old Nokia phone in the car as I only use it occasionally. Therefore I bought a Nokia phone off eBay - connected it in the car cradle and it began charging and the screen on the phone indicated it was connected to the car ( with the little car icon)

However....... The touchscreen on the car still states no phone fitted

Now previously, I could connect the iPhone via Bluetooth ( although it wouldn't connect calls)..... Now even this has gone

The only thing that's changed is that the battery has been disconnected

How can I get the phone working again????????

Any help ? Current Cars:

Have you tried taking the phone out of the cradle and cleaning up the cradle contacts and the phone contacts?
I had the same trouble and cleaning the contacts got it working again.

Yeh I'm pretty sure it's because it's not compatible with the Nokia 6230i .... However I am more concerned that it no longer has the menu screen it had- just "phone not fitted Current Cars:
