Re-Conditioned 3.6 TDV8 Engine

Well looks like my RRS will probably need a replacement engine after initial diagnostics. These engines seem to be like 'hens teeth'. Anybody got any suggestions of a reputable source. I have seen a couple NWS Motor Services, 1st Choice Engines selling re-conditioned engines.

Cheers in advance

Bad news , what's happened to yours ? We hear about RRS lunching on their turbos quite a bit here , seams to happen less in the FullFat so I have not heard of many people needing to find one . 2008 MY Supercharged

Odd that they seem to go in the RRS and not RR?

I think its got something to do with cooling there's a lot more room around the turbos in the FF so they cool better. If you've seen them on a sport there impossible to get to without taking the body off.
My brother had 2 turbos go on his sport. body off both times. Shocked 2020 Porsche Panamera Turbo Hybrid (V FAST)

Taking the body off is actually pretty straightforward (although you can do V6 Discovery and Sport turbos without).

If it's anything like the TDV6, there are no or virtually no internal engine parts available - which makes the availability of "reconditioned" engines somewhat suspect.

I would want full confirmation of all work done on a recon engine before purchasing.
