A Grand Day Out.

Me & my best mate had vouchers for a supercar driving event at Ingliston, just outside Edinburgh, we had to wait until their final date of the year due to work commitments etc. but what a day.It was bitterly cold, but the cars made up for the weather.

1st drive:

Was an auto, but with a very short track & only 4 laps , didn't use the paddles, what an amazing motor!
2nd:

Had the choice of this or a Gallardo, be rude not to really. Made a right tit of myself when I got in the car, foot slipped , onto throttle and woof, max revs while stationary!TBH the amount of folk that did exactly the same made me feel slightly less embarassed!
3rd:

First time ever in any Porsche & was blown away, just a pity the track was way too short to get any serious speed out of the thing!
Lastly a couple of "hot laps" in this:

Just managed to fit my fat arse into the thing & it was as quick as a superbike, by the end of it my fleece zip was down, shirt buttons undone, felt like a nice smoke afterwords!!

Saddest thing is, I'm more at the lower end of the scale financially when it comes to FFRR ownership & i'll probably never have any of these on my drive!Even went through the mental calculations for equity available in the house! Sadly no where near enough..... must buy more lottery tickets..

Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated Mr. Green

Groupon? I was going to do that, but felt that the track was a wee bit small to have real fun... But I suppose the fun is in driving different supercars. Previously..

Aye, it was a Groupon deal, don't let the track size put you off, well worth it!

Very nice!! Thumbs Up although I would have thought Knockhill would have been a better venue for a real blast

Done knockhill a few times now, great fun. I used to go to the racing at ingleston. When the full track is used they can get up to quite a speed. I saw a classic 911 getting smashed up in front of me many years go. Actually, it probably wasn't a classic then, it was probably new. Laughing Previously..

IIRC the voucher was£129 for 2 cars x 3 laps each + atom, we upgraded to 4 laps for an extra £30.
