Brake pads - Be aware when ordering

Have just ordered and collected a set from ECP, bargain.

Ordered for a TDV8, however did not notice that there are 2 types:

for vin to 5A999999999 and 6A000000->

I managed to order the wrong set Banging Head I think one is for solid rears and the other for the cars with Brembos and vented rears.

scuppered doing it on a sunday afternoon. Am going to have to traul rond derby looking for a set as today is the only day i have free to do them. Big Cry There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Cheers Richcl,

I managed to get a set of pads from motor mania in Burton on trent. All fitted now and seem to be working ok. Werent the cheapest around and were more expensive than ECP but needs must on a sunday afternoon.

There is a good write up on here somewhere on how to do it. I would just add that on the TDV8 a set of thin jawed adjustable spanners or thin spanner of the correct size is required to hold the sliding bolt whilst you undo the caliper nut, hapen to have bought one last week so all was hunky dory. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
