HSE Head unit upgrade

Hi Folks

apologies if this has been asked a million times before but I can't seem to find an answer on the forum search.

I have a 2003 HSE that has a single cd in the head unit and controls the multi changer in the glove box. I have acquired a head unit with a screen from a similar era vogue. It 's not a touch screen it's the older version with what I think has a flip front with a tape.

The connections on the 2 units are different at the back but is there a way of fitting the head unit to control the radio, cd changer and the mpg stuff? Is some kind of adapter for the harness available or is it a case of splicing in? I'm not looking for sat nav as I'm guessing that requires more gubbins in the boot to make that work I'm just looking to replace the head unit due to the pixels failing and the screen version looks a bit better.

Cheers

James

All the harnesses etc are in the wrong place, you're in a good place really because thre are some great after market units I wish I had the HSE set up so I could do a quick swap.

I've not known of anyone fitting the OEM screen in place of the MID.

However, may be in the market for a replacement head unit if you choose to go non OEM. Thumbs Up .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink
