United Kingdom 2003 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Java Black

I was thinking of replacing the Disco, but have decided to upgrade the tdv6 RRS to the TDV8 instead, i just dont get the use out of the Disco to warrant up grading to a FFRR Big Cry Big Cry

Only from the point of view of i dont care to much about it and it doesnt owe me that much money, and i throw crap in the back of it and use it down the rough country lanes, if i had a FFRR instead i wouldnt abuse it in the same way Thumbs Up

Range Rover

I used to own one..... bought a brand new Range Rover Vogue TD6 06MY in 05. Great car until the front differential failed on me after about a year. Turned out to be a design fault that as far as I am aware exists to this day but LR have been very successful in keeping the problem under wraps. After it was repaired within months the diff was making noises again. After much discussion with LR in Aberdeen I got rid of it and bought a Discovery 3. That has been more or less perfect and in my opinion is a better drive.

I strongly advise anyone contemplating purchasing a RR discusses the 'front diff prop shaft spline failure' with their local dealer. No idea whether the TDV8 has the same drive train so can't comment on that. This web site explains it all. http://www.rangerovers.net/repairdetails/d...tdiff.html

On the day I picked my Discovery up I saw a RR with the same failure arriving at Town & County in Aberdeen!!

It was the Land Rover Assistance breakdown driver that alerted me to the fact that this was a relatively common fault! You have no idea how good I felt when he arrived only to announce "not another one, I get lots of these mate" Big Cry

rr owners

well Tim, I have jumped ship, and on Wednesday next week, I should be the proud owner of a RR vogue.
(My user name in RRS was Jimmy, but that seems to have been taken )

Have you tried not pressing Submit twice every time you post? Shocked

Our glorious moderator Rolling Eyes , RRUK, should be able to remove your double posts for you. It will give him something to do.... Whistle Halfway Down The Stairs,
