What date did the 2007MY (TDV8) Interior Start??

I've seen a few 2006 56reg cars now that have the 2007MY interior (with the key ignition in the dashboard and gear stick on the right). The last TDV8 I found was registered on 29/09/2006 but had the tdv8 style updated interior can this be right?? And does this mean a SC with the same date would also have the new style dashboard?

Would any dated later than that should have the new shape interior? Or doesnt it work like that?

I would REALLY prefer the new shape interior if I can get it, and on the poxy landrover used website they use stock images so you cant tell what the interior is like on the cars - but because they list the reg plate you can get the reg date.

Late '56 up

Saw this for you yesterday at a top car auction I went to but sadly it had been written off, it was a cat "c" but in very good condition, full service history done 45k and it made £16300!

I don't think I've explained this correctly. Im trying to work out which 56reg ones would have the new shape interior. I know (from doing so much scouring the net) that some 56reg are old shape and some are new - and by the time it gets to 07 they are all new; what im trying to find out is the date that a 56reg turned from 2006MY to a 2007MY. I'm hoping to bag a bargain 56reg with the new style interior.

I'm guessing it would be a car registered September, October, November, December 2006 - or is September too early? If I can work out the date it make its much easier to find - or is it a case that 2 cars could be registered in October 2006 but one have the old style and one have the new?? I'm hoping (but not holding my breath) that someone will come along and say "any car after 1st September was made with the new shape interior" kind of thing Smile

I could have got an absolute steal at £26,000 for a 2007MY Supercharged Vogue SE with 40k miles - but it was Rimini Red (which is probably the only colour I dont want - other than white)

There will be '06 MY old model cars available even on a '07 plated car! - you just have to search hard for the one you want but there will be a premium for the '07 MY (normally)

Rim-in-me red is not my cup of tea either and white ones look like ex-police IMHO '09 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto for the Mrs

The Tdv8, which was basically the change maker, was presented in set. 2006 in spain. There is video on that from LRO.

So, first shipment cars should come oct/nov. Here the first ones are from nov.

Now its absolutely possible to find both interiors until maybe, december. Dealers who haven't sold their 2006's stock have to register them and sell them sometime. Meaning you can find during that period of time, tdv8's/SC (new style) and also td6's/SC (old style).

My TDV8 was one of the first ones off the line, first registered at the end of September 2006.

The doc is right. There are TD6, S/C, and 4.4 examples on 56 plates and even early 07 as the dealers tried to clear off unsold stock. To land a bargain TDV8 at the moment, you really need to search. I was all set to buy a TD6 when I spotted mine by chance and drove 150 mile round trip to view it.

The Rimini Red one, does that happen to be the one converted to LPG by any chance? There was a 07 S/C LPG with really low miles and cream interior for £26K on Pistonheads.
