Lorry 1 - 4.4 TDV8 0

/sigh/

Wife overtaking a 'parked' lorry on Thursday evening. Lorry decides to pull out whilst she was coming past. Clearly didn't see her.

At least wife ok.

Smashed passenger door mirror and scratch, scape, dent damage to every panel on passenger side.

Hopefully all sorted before Christmas.

Insurance dropped us an Audi Q7 replacement vehicle. It's woeful. So another FFRR is turning up on wednesday Wink MY2011 TDV8 Vogue - GONE

Sorry to hear that Tom Sad At least the boss is ok Smile

Have you got pics of the damage? Being a much newer car as long as the Sill and pillars havent taken any hit you'll be looking at

£800 ish for the front door
£450 for the mirror and cover
£300 for the wing
£150 for the grille
£500 rear passenger door
Rear wing will be a sand down and repair job depending on hoe bad it is Sad

I'd say region of about £6-8k of damage, thats if its not caught the wheels and tyres.. If it has demand they get replaced from my own experience of something not to dis similar not to long ago Sad

If you want any advice on it drop me a PM as always happy to help out Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

I stupidly didn't get pics...the vehicle was way over due a wash anyway Smile

Also got some interesting electrics/ecu effects: temp guage started reading -33 and it seems Hill start assist control thingy stopped working....which made it 'fun' driving it up onto the low loader. Wish I'd not volunteered for that now Smile MY2011 TDV8 Vogue - GONE

Its possibly caught a wheel and knocked a sensor out then Sad

I think the ext temp sensor is either in the grille or a wing mirror but could be electrical gremlins Sad Just make sure its all noted down for when it goes in Smile

Is it going to LR or just the insurance approved jobby?

Always get pics especially of milage and interior as you dont want to pick it up and find its got loads more miles on it and smells used by others and not have any evidence to back it up Sad FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

We're Marshalls of Lincoln customers. it's going to their Melton Mowbray place (has their Group bodyshop).

Insurance (Hiscox) we're happy for it to be repaired wherever we liked Smile

If they have been damaged and they replace them could you ask to retain them as I'd be interested in them if possible?? FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Switzerland 2007 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey

Similar thing happened to me about a year ago. An old woman 'didn't see me'. My damage didn't seem as bad as yours sounds and cost a little over £5k to fix - in Switzerland.

Some Censored did pretty much every panel down the passenger side of my car when it was parked in the street outside a friend who lives in putney.

missed the wheels and mirror. As I would have lost no claims etc it was cheaper to get it fixed. cost £650 as all panels would repair.

Glad to hear all are OK though could have been a lot worse if SWMBO was in a smaller car. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

If she'd been in the 911, she would have gone for the Lorry driver with a hammer Wink MY2011 TDV8 Vogue - GONE
