Anyone else have this problem , some days it is okay other days when you are typing it suddenly jumps back into the middle of the sentence that has been typed … PITA ..

My daughter's MacBook started doing that. After a while we noticed that the battery had swollen up, putting pressure on the bottom of the keyboard. Once we replaced the battery, the problem stopped. 2006 HSE |

Not had this with any of our iMacs with either wireless or wired full sized keyboards.

Use a wired keyboard and see if it happens.

Mac keyboards, and other 'thin' keyboards tend to be capacitive inductance/reactance type rather than microswitched, where a (usually carbon) plate is lifted from/or pushed against a pcb and the resultant change in capacitance cuases the 'character' to be recognised.
