Horn Idea??

http://disco4.com/forum/topic79229.html

Thanks goes to Robbie from The Disco site.

I've spotted some cheapies on ebay for £15 so will give them a try and think a plastic type flap on the front may be an idea for my wading but routing of the air inlet to somewhere like the back upper drainhole of the passenger side headlight should suffice for most of the time i think Smile

Anyone else fancy trying it? FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

I had a Stebel Nautilus Horn fitted to my Discovery.
Never really rated it, wouldn't bother again.

I always wanted one like the emergency services use, not in two-tone mode obviously, but the single blast per horn push. Looks like a few hundred quid to do it properly though.

I have one fitted to my Triumph motorcycle. It's not as good as they say it is, can't see it being much of an upgrade on the original RR horn, but it's way better than the mouse like meep from the Triumph horn.

I actually bought two of them, the other for my BMW bike, but it wasn't worth installing in the BMW as the original is ok. Kept it as a spare as they're not meant to be very reliable.

Mmm so having a really loud horn in a built up area is pretty much a no no then. You can warn a pedestrian you are about to knock them over, as long as you do it quietly Smile

But on the motorway, in the driving rain, when the lorry driver is talking on his mobile, whilst warming up a pan of beans and watching interesting viewing material on his laptop and weaving across the white lines at 56mph, I know what I'd rather have.

I'd really like the rear fogs as strobes in addition to hazards when I'm on the hard shoulder, as anything to make other drivers see or hear you sooner has got to be better in my book.

.......but its an "unauthorised flashing beacon" apparently.

On a serious note, on a motorway for instance, when drivers are playing music loud and such, a normal horn is sometimes not that audible. I'm thinking a speed sensitive horn might be a good idea. Dragons Den here we come !! 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8
