1968 Series 2A - Seatbelts - UK

Quickie for someone out there who has classic cars hopefully. We're looking at buying a LR S2a that doesnt have front seatbelts fitted. If they were never fitted, must one have them fitted now for an MOT?

All new cars must have:

Front and rear seatbelts fitted that must be worn
Older cars that do not have seatbelts:

Do not need to have them fitted and worn, but cannot be used for carrying children
However if seatbelts are fitted in older cars they must be worn.

There doesnt seem to be a definition of "older car" on that site. Thanks though, makes interesting reading.
