BOOT SEAL

Hi Chaps

Could anyone point me in the right direction for buying a rear boot seal (the one that lets water in). Mine has corroded on the top bends.Looks like a previous owner has had a go at sealing it with mastic but that has now dried up and i am starting to get the dreaded water ingress onto the bluetooth/cd ect. Would like to buy of someone connected to this site as youve been helfull since ive had my 2005 vogue

Thanks

I had this exact same problem on my first car, about £50 for the big seal IIRC.

Where the three panels meet, there is a triangular hole there that doesn't help!

It sorted mine straight away.

I'd also recommend you buy a bag of water absorbing crystals and put it down in the well, any DIY or caravan shop have them, any moisture you can't see will be rapidly wicked away and won't do an further damage to the electrickery boxes down there.

Cheers,

Phooey.

Thanks Phooey

Ive just put a car cover over the rear of the rr while parked up for now to stop rain getting in. I will look for the seal tomorow and do what i can to give the new seal some extra support re the panel joints etc. Only thing is now the radio/cd system is not working again Big Cry (SEE WHAT HAPPENS WITH HEATED SEATS)
