United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Autobiography Td6 Java Black
Looking for someone with experience to do a 2010 conversion

After months and months of gathering parts,

I now have all the full front end of the l322 2010. This includes, headlights, full bumper, autobiography grill and top bar.

The only thing left is the front end, as i have already replaced my existing rear lights with the 2010 led ones, also have changed my alloys to 20inch autobiography black ones.

I am based in London, have spoken to a few bodyshops (DCC 4X4) who will not fit as they are not his parts, Prestige Styling (price they have quoted £480 inc VAT)

If you have experience in doing the front end conversion please PM me.

Cheers Range Rover Autobiography Black Conversion

Is your car a facelift? Is the top bar necessary as I thought this wasnt needed on 2006 onwards? Thumbs Up Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

Yeah thats right, it is a 2006 td6 facelift. I believe the crash bar does not need to be changed but the top bar does??? Range Rover Autobiography Black Conversion

Apparently the bodyshop Prestige Styling told me that they would need to re-configure the cruise control when doing the front end. i thought this was a load of bulls**t, but is that true??

My knowledge is that you are really just changing bumpers and the hardest part is wiring the headlamps??

that true??? Range Rover Autobiography Black Conversion

It could be if you have the adaptive cruise control fitted otherwise no. The lights are straight forward I belive as its just the indicators that will flash too quickly. This is sorted by putting a suitable resistor in line. Dont forget your Titanium lettering and strip on rear . Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

Adaptive automatically slows the car if something is too close. Mine has manual cruise activated via steering wheel buttons and requires manual intervention to slow car. Try with brick wall at 70 if car slows you have it if not you wont know Laughing I think your car wont have it though. Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

LOL Yeah dont think the misses would be too pleased.

No i have had this range rover for 4 years now and the cruise control is controlled by the steering wheel and does require manual intervention.

Great thats just knocked a £100 off the bodyshop quote as i was not sure if it had that or not.

Cheers.

Im like a kid in candy store, cant wait until the parts are fitted. just fall in love with 2010 front end Razz Range Rover Autobiography Black Conversion
