Shuddering - Front Diff?

Happy new year all. (Well not for me)

After a full gearbox re-build in December, Range Rover not standing over their warranty to replace upgraded rear lights due to condensation, the car is shuddering.

The sensation was an intermittent bumpy ride like driving over small cobble stones. Now the intensity of the shuddering is marginally worse, but is there almost all the time. Felt more at lower speeds, no humming or strange noises and I think more noticeable on straight runs and no worsening around bends or turns.

I was notified by one of the main dealers in Ireland when i got the car 2 years ago, that the recall work had been done. BUt I genuinely do not trust the dealers (for example - honouring warranty on rear lights). The care is a MAY 2005 model, (06 facelift).

Does anyone know if the dealers are obliged to diagnose this issue with respect to the problem being the font diff issue, and if it is are they obliged to carry out the works.

I am based in Ireland, so any Irish assistance and direction would be warmly welcomed.

p.s. I have checked the post on the front diff recall, but I am at the early diagnosis, heart failure, sell my house stage at the moment.

Thanks in advance.

TC was the cause in the first instance so all rebuilt.

The shuddering is what I experienced for about 2 weeks before the box finally went, and then the gears would just disengage. That shuddering was very different to the shuddering, or should I say rumbling I am getting now.

It does feel like wheel balance weights having fallen off, but that was the first thing I got checked and they were re-balanced.

Just spoke to them - they are saying drive shaft issues. But I will let them check it as box is still under warranty.

Thanks for advice

If yours is an 06 facelift it should have the modified CV joint on the front diff from new. So I would suggest to look at other potential issues (gearbox), transfer case and whatever else comes up on the forum when you do a search. I hope it is the gearbox so it can be changed under warranty !! MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!
