Nav screen reboots on engine startup

Hi. I am new here on the forums and to range rovers generally so please be gentle! I have a 2007 ffrr tdv8 vogue. My car reboots the nav screen when the engine is started. This is not a problem in itself, but it then fails to reconnect the bluetooth. I replaced the battery as I imagined that there was a voltage drop causing the screen to reboot to release power for the start. This however, has not fixed the problem. Anyone have any idea what's causing the screen reboot?

what battery have you put in it?

Mine did this too until i replaced the battery with the bosch s5 one. Also does it still do it if you charge the battery fully before starting?

Thanks for replying. It was a new LR battery from the dealer. They installed it from their store. I wondered whether it was fully charged but have not had a chance to charge it. Thought maybe just driving around would keep it near max charge.

I would, take the battery out (using the disconnect procedure in the wiki) charge it up overnight, and look at the CCA and A/H figures of the battery.

Put it back in and see if it still reboots.

Then post back the CCA and A/H figures.

Also how long are you average journeys? if you are only doing short runs it may not put a lot of charge back in the battery.

Thanks for the tip. Will trickle charge the battery and check. My trips are mostly short so that could be the problem. Time for a safari!

I have the same vehicle and my screen always goes back to the Land Rover Green Screen at start up before eventually coming back to life. I thought it was supposed to do that Confused I don't have the bluetooth problem however. That reconnects ok. I have a brand new Bosch S5 battery fully charged. 2012 5.0L S/C

I have a 2007 TDV8 Vogue SE - mine does exactly the same as Nomad, don't think this is a fault, just how they work... 2007 Zermatt Silver TDV8 Vogue SE - now sold but was a great car!
