Gentlemen, i put a brand new battery on the car 2 weeks ago it lasted a week, charged it again, the car went in for a service, everything checked out alternator,belts etc, only fault found was the amplfier, which could have been the reason for the battery dying, the amps been sent away for repair, came out this morning and its dead again, Any ideas apart from the battery being faulty or not man enough for the car. What happens if you don't connect the amplifier up?

What happens to the new battery if it is not connected to the car?

Are you using the car or leaving it standing?

Especially what is the voltage on the battery when the car is running. Should be @ 14.5v, otherwise alternator problems... .

The amplifier is of the car, been sent away for repair
Use the car every day for work,round tripabout 18 miles, leave the car a day or so then it dies
when it was in for a service i was told the alternators charging, im goin to take the battery back to where i got it from to get them to check it out tomorrow. 2004 vogue
