Hi Folks

I'm looking for some help. I've recently purchased the Erisin ES1139B head unit off ebay after reading about the successful instals on the forum.

The unit arrived but with the wrong type of connector I (I believe there's a 17pin old type & a newer 40pin type) I have a the 40 pin style. I contacted the supplier who were great & sent out another 40 pin type This arrived & whilst it's getting closer it still isn't the right type. Can anyone advise on what I need to ask for to make sure I get the right one.

I've attached a pic of my connector that might help. The current one I've been sent is the right size but the pins on the cable are where the blue blanked out ones are on the connector.

Any thoughts?

I thought the blue section on my connector was a kind of blanking plate but it isn't. The second cable they've sent fits correctly. The only problem I have now is that the whole unit doesn't appear to work! I get power through the connector cable to the end that plugs into the head unit but it's not doing anything. Checked the fuse in the unit and I've done a reset of the unit but nothing appearing.

Looks like I'm going to have to return it

does sound like a faulty unit , but i would double check the connections .. ... - .- -.

hi folks

still having problems with this, I been checking things again this weekend and I'm definitely getting power through the connectors and I've notice that when I turn on the ignition I get a slight flicker of the lights on the head unit.

The only thing I've noticed is that when they sent out the correct lead they didn't send out a new can us decoder with it so I used the the original one. Does anyone who's had a successful installation of one of these have a picture of their decoder, in particular the sticker with the model numbers on?

Does anyone have a good contact of a uk suppler of these units as whilst the supplier I purchased form has been nice and polite I get the impression they don't actually now much about car stereos!
