2010 Problems....

Hello everyone Smile

Not sure how many 2010 owners are lurking here, but I see there are a few with issues. Here's my list Evil or Very Mad

1. Flashing bloody triangle on Sat Nav - not serious but ARGH! Is there some setting somewhere to turn it off!

2. Parking sensors failed in Feb - still not repaired due to "part supply" Rolling Eyes

3. Inability of dealer to apparently turn on DRL Shocked

4. Easy Entry/Exit does nothing.

5. On delivery one of the airlines to the front suspension was punctured - fixed it with Duct Tape Laughing (until they replaced pipe!)

On a related note I see that the old '753' hack still works and gives even more info .... not that you can do much with it.

The vehicle recently had the "assurance" treatment, bigger battery, 2 bottles of wine (!) and new software. One thing I *have* noticed is that when using low box now it is not as harsh as it was (and my previous ones were) - so changing from 2nd low to 1st low on a descent - the whole thing is much smoother (and a bit louder outside as the engine revs Twisted Evil )

Anyway, hope to hear from others! Mine is actually booked in for Monday 19th to FINALLY get the parking sensors sorted thanks to LR Customer Care getting involved.

'753' - Press the top middle of the touchscreen when it is on the "home" screen for 5 seconds, then press the hard nav key for 5 seconds. Keypad entry will appear, enter 753 and enjoy Twisted Evil

If nothing else it allows you to watch TV/DVD/External Cameras while on the move.....

Having owned 3 of these (and various other Land Rovers (one of which was quite famous!)) I do know most of the hacks and fixes. What shocks me is that LR are so random with the repair cycle. I blew up the gearbox in my 4.2SC FFRR under warranty and it took them *only* 3 days to get it replaced for me. Parking sensors - they have had it for 6 days and no repair, and on two occassions they didn't even valet it Big Cry I mean ..... that's the only time it gets cleaned is when it has an "intermittent fault", or, in this case a really bloody annoying fault! Laughing

I'll see if I can dig out photos of Bagheera and Owl, both of which were covered in Offroad stickers Whistle

...and for my sins, Piglet was my beloved Discovery which had a very nice 4.6 V8, external cage etc etc. However, I am happy that The Warpig is a worthy replacement Thumbs Up

Go to the bit where you can check the AV stuff - oh make sure you have started the dvd/tv etc while parked up. Then you can switch to PAL mode and away you go ..... well it works on mine, and my 2006 FFRR previously! I'll take some pics if that will help?
