K&n filter for 4.4 petrol bmw l322

Looking at the facelift for the 2002-2005 vogue it appears I have to replace the air box with a k&n jobby to make room for the new light. Has anyone done this and if so what parts were used ?

Thanks

I ran a green Cone filter for 4 years on my 4.4 BMW engine, did 45k miles with no problems. It replaced the air box.
