Ok feeling stupidly defeated now. I am half way through changing the air filter on my 4.4 petrol 2003 vogue. Air filter changed for k&n nice simple 10 min job......there is a retaining ring on the air input from the offside wing that is holding the air filter housing into the car and I can't for the life of me work out how it comes off.

Ok that's off now. What's the long pipe that goes to a unit under where the air filter box was? What do I need to do with that now I'm not using the original air box? "On first name terms with my local Dealer......now."

Ok so now I have spent some time reviewing the doc I should have looked at before I started i.e. Rave and realise the item I mentioned before is the SAI or secondary air intake pump.
