Satnav disc issues

Afternoon everyone, i was going to put a new satnav disc in his afternoon but when the old came out the new one won't go back in. It's seeming to get stuck when it's 90% in, not sure why anyone any ideas? Or will it be a case if taking the satnav out?

Cheers

Andy

try inserting the original disc a few more times ,if this does not work i would try the battery disconnection jobby, failing this its unit out and strip down to see what the obstruction is.. ... - .- -.

when cd's get stuck in the cd changer ,a tap on the unit with something like a screwdriver will make the cd come out...now i'm not saying that this method will work on the nav unit but its worth a try but be careful .. ... - .- -.

Take out the bolts (metric 8mm) two on either side, slide unit out and disconnect the connectors.

Once its out, you might want to take the cover off and see if there is an obstruction.

Another option might be to find the loading motor and see if you can make the carriage go all the way in or out before reassembling it and reconnecting it. Normally its a worm gear driven by the loading motor.

ok so changer now out and the disc seems to be stuck on the "roof" of the changer inside any ideas i could get this out short of getting a pair of thin nose pliers in and pulling it out?

if you did get the disc out with pliers with out breaking it ,which is very easily done, you still have to strip the unit down to see why the discs were getting stuck..

i would concentrate on stripping the unit.. ... - .- -.
