High idling SC

I had a new one last night. I was doing some work with the Faultmate and I did that with the running engine (just transferring the vbf files from laptop to Faultmate for the ECU reflash of the transmission) to keep the AC on as the temperature is well over 30 degrees in our parking garage.

The engine started idling high as normal (over a 1000 rpm), it came down to normal (750 rpm), I cleared some faults in the petrol ECU (both banks too rich plus post cat too lean on one side, compliments of crappy fuel) and then the idle went to 1056 (both set value and actual). Once I finished the vbf file transfer, I drove of for my little test run logging the torque values (to hopefully give some insight in the 3-4 shift issues) and just running the gearbox after the trans cooler issue.

Now the ECU temperature, inlet air was 47C so no reason to idle high for temperature. So why the heck did it do that. After the drive it was back to normal, 750 and after stopping and restarting also ???

No alarms or check engine light or anything.

I do notice that it runs a tiny bit rough on normal idle, that I didn't notice before I had the cooler issue. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

If I was actually reflashing at the time, yes (but I would not do that with a running engine !!!). So must be juju (Nigerian version of Voodoo Smile ). MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
