Fuel pump noise

Hi all

Came to start the car last night and this morning and as soon as I put the key in and turn it to ign I get a wuring and grinding noise coming from below the rear. Seats anyone else had this take it that it's a sign the pump is on its way out. Doesn't do it all the time when I'm driving there is no noise and the engine is running fine no errors logged either.

When my pump packed up I had no noise or warning at all, the car just wouldn't start one day.

There are instructions on this forum how to replace it if necessary. 03 4.4 V8 petrol / lpg. 1st of many hopefully. I love my Rangie

How much fuel do you have in your tank as it could be the balancing isnt working?? FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

i have replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter and now there is no more noise and the car now doesn't have anymore issues starting when warm. I had about 1/2-1/4 tank of fuel

it has been said that starting/fuel problems occur when the fuel tank is 1/4 full and the pumps are on the way out....glad its sorted for you Matt.. ... - .- -.
