Engine light on

Hi I have a 2003 4.4 v8 wife drove it yesterday never put any fuel in so left for work this morning to fill up it said 10 mile range any way car cuts out enigine light on so short walk to petrol station and so. R
Engine light still on but car drives fine ??? Any ideas

Update just got in car and all is well light stays off

If the car detects something untoward, it puts the light on. For some faults, after x amount of time running ok again, it will turn the light off again. (Some faults, not all faults)

If the light's off (and not just burnt out) - you're sorted. Thumbs Up
