'Brookies' make over. (wrap)

Weil its started.
Preping and getting car ready for his make over.
I also did some of the inside dash area which again I will post.
The inside was done to 'practice on'
Started by taking all the bottom side panels off.
Pretty straight forward altho the two rear clips on the rear door panels seemed to be screwed from inside
I dont know if thats standard but it was no match for my brut strength
I bought two types of carbon fibre wrap
By far the best to get is the air technology vinyl as its bubble free
And easier to use.
Ok the first foto is of the side panel
More to come
[img]
Sorry folks but the dreaded iPad disnae seem to want to post pictures from within.
I will post when I get home on lappy and edit post

Looks like you have done this before... Why not do the top part of the doors at the same time tho? There will be a join now. Previously..

The whole reason for the wrap was due to the damage caused by off roading.
Due to this and future off roading I decided to do the doors in 3 sections to ease any repair that becomes needed.
Saves doing the whole panel.
A gold pinstripe and join is covered.

1st time wrapping a whole car.
I do stickers etc for charity, but this is the first time I have attempted this.

As for the caps on the dash, nothing to do with Mucky 'D's
They are marshalling caps used as part of my charity work.

Beaded seat covers are ace when one does long journeys.
They do work.
Especially on the leather seats, they keep ye cool and dry.

Thought I would put on his new 'boots' today
What a grand choice indeed it turned oot to be.
The first picture is of the screw that was sat through the tread aboot an inch from the shoulder.
Bye bye tyre.

1" in length so maybe I should put the lottery on laters?

Thought I would post an update on 'Brookie'

It noo has 164,000 miles on the clock having taken us round Europe a few times and all for charity.

The name 'BROOKIE' comes from an error as the original description for the car said it was Brooklands Green.
As we both enjoy a trip to Brooklands we called it 'Brookie'
then we found oot that it was Epsom Green.
Too late, and Brookie was born.

Noo, I bets that yer gonna mention that 'Brookie' aint green.
As previously mentioned, Having off roaded the car on a few occassions the paintwork was scratched to hell so I wrapped it.
First did it in Matte Black and noo in silver carbon fiber.
I think it looks cool.

enjoy
