Warranties

Could a section of the forum be created for these?

I'm sure someone must be well impressed with their warrantee. The more and more I've read about mine (came initially with the car and I stupidly renewed without paying attention to the detail) the more it is coated in teflon. Big Cry

In September I will be in the market for a new Warrantee.

Thoughts?

Warranties are rarely worth the paper they are written on. They are all insurance backed, and insurance is a game of risk, the warranty companies are far better at this game than you and I otherwise they wouldn't be in business.

Save the £1000+ one would cost you and put it in the bank. If after 3 years you need a new EAS pump you'll have 3K to spend on a gold plated one. Rather than the warranty co' just say "Wear & Tear"

I get very good value out of my warranty but thats because I live so far away from the nearest dealer,
If the car needs to go away it's two and a half hours on a tow truck and at the same time a car has to be sent up to me, that probably costs the warranty company about £600 alone and its happened three times in the last year. 2008 MY Supercharged
