Crunching noise when starting the engine??

Have noticed that when I start the car (especially when cold) I can hear a crunching like sound coming from the engine bay when it turns over.

Not so bad when the engine is warm but still noticeable..

Any ideas?

The nasty crunching noise on mine on start up is the timing chain tensioners i get rid of it every time i service the car for about 2 weeks by putting and engine oil flush in before dropping the oil
