Issues with suspension & transmission after new battery | |
Hi Folks
I've just replaced the battery on my 2004 4.4 HSE. I went for a BOSCH S5 battery due to the 5 year guarantee, the previous one was a cheaper option and didn't even last 2 years.
Since changing it the car now leaps into life but is having problems with the suspension height & transmission. The susp refuses to go into access height it always seems one setting higher than it should be despite what the dash indicator is saying. Access height actually looks more like standard height & standard height looks more like off road. The fact that if you ask it to go to off road height & it doesn't move seems to support this, compressor just whirs away.
The orange transmisson warning light has started to flicker on accompanied by juddering through the transmission when you accelerate or are crawling along at low speeds. It doesn't do it all the time but it will intermitantly do it during a journey.
Anyone else had a similar symptoms after changina battery or am I seeing 2 unrelated issues & it's just coincided with the battery change?
I've tried the ususal reset with the steering wheel, that clears the normal inactive messages but doesn't help with anything else.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
James
