Service.

Hi All,

Getting a little confused with the service intervals on my 4.4v8 RR. All my other cars have been mileage or date services but the RR is done on the countdown clock thingy.
It is now a year since my last service (std oil service) I have done 9k in that time and my experience tells me it should need another service but the countdown clock says I have another 8k left?

Is the countdown the correct way to go? Range Rover Autobiography 5.0SC

There are many people on the net that say, don't change the oil ever as it is not needed nor is it good for the environment.

I happen to disagree with that and say either once per year, oil plus filter or according to the service indicator if that says change within that one year. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

.?? Shocked Shocked Shocked

Hmmmm. Environmental cost of properly disposed of engine oil vs environmental cost of the raw materials and manufacturing of a new engine. Whistle I agree wholeheartedly with ebajema - change it. Oil is MUCH cheaper than engines.

just think of oil as the lifeblood of your motor
and you wont go too far wrong

In my M coupe i do about 1500 miles a year and change it regardless oh and the filters too Growing old is compulsory Growing up is optional
