TDV8 gremlins

Hi all
Now had the car a couple of months, and overall, I am really pleased with it.
But....there are a couple of electrical gremlins, that I have no idea how to rectify,
(1) parking sensors, play up from time to time, constant beeping, flashing light, it does this irrelevant of weather conditions I.e. wet or dry.
(2) alarm, when car is sitting outside in the sun, alarm will keep going off, and its not particularly hot here at the moment.
Can you lock the car without setting alarm? Have tried pushing button twice, that didn't work.

Any ideas? Visit to main dealer is not an option here.

Steve

I have had both the same problems.

Not got round to the parking sensors yet but the alarm on mine was an easy fix, just cleaned the switch under the bonnet and also stuck a rubber foot (I had from an old computer) to the underside of the bonnet where it touches when closed so it engages a bit further.
Apparently it's a common "feature" Rolling with laughter

I also had the alarm problem but the bonnet sensor was not the culprit; it was a faulty "body tilt" module. Cost about £150 to replace. Bonnet switch clean and mod is very cheap to try first though! Graham

Double press on key on that MY should disable interior sensors only.

Get a fly inside your car and once its locked the fly can set off the interior sensor. Annoying. Discovery 4 HSE

Right...cleaned switch, and glued a little rubber pad on under side of bonnet, don't know if it's cured the problem, as not very sunny today. Also adjusted the rear tailgates, as these seemed a bit loose when shut.
