Ideally only replace in pairs even though the other one "May" be functioning perfectly. |

Hi Cappo, I suggest to do both, I did and both bags looked in pretty similar (bad) condition although one bag started to leak (or at least that is what it looked like).

Thanks both - just as I suspected, and yes, the shock absorber aspect (and I guess generally making sure the two sides are "balanced") had occurred to me, hence the question.

Doing both is usually recommended.

Will do Joe, thanks - I found some American video on Youtube, looked pretty easy really, I wasn't sure whether it needed a plug in after to reset but the signs are not! |

When I owned mine, I replaced only the blown side, to try and save money as it went straight after Christmas, but the following month, the other side did also go, so cost me twice in labour! (I chickened out doing it myself and got my then local indie to do it!) so would definately advise both, as has been said. Reformed |

As said above, would you change one spring or one shock absorber on a normal car? No... Then change the FF one's in pairs too... Simples |

Just another quick question - it may be on here in the search somewhere - but I've seen different views on which of the pipes on the crossover valve block you should slacken in order to release the pressure on the NEARSIDE bag? The offside is clearly not pressurised at all |

When they worked on mine, I noticed that the hose is "relatively" easy to reach on the strut. So I suggest to loosen that to bleed the air off. Or just punch a hole on the bag, since you are replacing the strut anyway.

OK, thanks, I'll have a look when I get it up in the air later on. Reluctant to punch a hole in this one when I could keep it as an emergency spare!!

I work in the offshore industry, we tend not waste time too much considering the daily rate of the vessels we use. I guess that shows in day to day life as well |
