Last owner acquired it in 2004 and been in a barn since then. MOT expired in 1993

Extremely original - it's entirely unmolested having original PVC seats (only drivers seat squab is cracked and there's a replacement supplied!), original bonnet mirrors, rubber flooring, etc

Going to need a lot of work! I want to fix the structural issues, replace the suspension, brakes and get the engine running, make it water tight (new seals all round) and replace anything that cannot be saved.

Otherwise leave it as is (at least for the moment). I rather like the "patina"

I shall be asking lots of questions on best suppliers (ie replacement aluminium top tailgate). I realise that the forum is mostly about more recent RRs but any help and support would be gratefully received!

Ask away, a few of us on here have RR classics. Mine is almost mint 91k genuine miles FSH and every MOT and receipt since new. Plus even better she is totally standard - exactly as she left Lode Lane.

Yours looks absolutey original - a very rare find in 2 door ! 1971 is one of the first, plus she does not have the vinyl 1/4 panels = very very early. 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

I'm not sure if it counts. Before the Sport and then the Evoque, there was just the RANGE ROVER. No FFRR label needed. So I tend to think of an FFRR as a Mk3 or Mk4. The 'Classic' and the P38 are definitely true Range Rovers and its nice to see yours visiting. The styling on the classics may be equally, but NEVER surpassed.

Ah right. P38 was the model between the Classic (that one) and the L322. Graham

Yes, I've always hated it, but there are plenty of loyal owners who rate it.
