headlamp orange indicator, can it be removed

Hi guys, i have a 2004 vogue, I want to try and remove the orange dated indicator from the healdamp/indicator unit.

Im sure i read somehwere it can be done, ive tried a search but nothing coming up.

Can anyone advise me.

i think the light unit comes apart by unclipping the little metal things.. ... - .- -.

They do this on the disco 3 to good effect.
They also use a mirrored indicator bulb.
Post how you get on with pics please I might give it a go.

I have been having a look at a spare indicator lens I have.
It looks like it will have to be gently heated to separate the front from the back.
The orange lens also appears to be glued in but could be removed with a bit of force.
I reckon if your careful you could break the orange lens and remove it in pieces through the hole where the lamp fits

Will the orange lens need to be replaced or can a chrome bulb be used on its own
