In fact, when Top Gear changed its format in 2002, Stig Blomqvist was approached by the BBC to join the programme to test all the high performance cars, but at the last minute he declined the offer, and that is where the name 'The Stig' came from, although Stig Blomqvist has always denied this.

Just re-reading this post about what you would change in F1.

One thing! stop Bernie Ecclestone trying to get rid of Monza!!

We want to keep all of the classic circuits, who gives a Censored about AzerbaiKurkmeniAfghanistan having a GP on a Tilke designed boring circuit, just because Ecclestone demands 25 million quid to hold a race!!

Bring back the French and the Dutch GP's!!

Get back to REAL racing instead of the hordes of tecchies back in the UK telling the drivers what to do!!

Stick the likes of Jason Plato, Matt Neal and Gordon Sheddon in a Red Bull, Mercedes and a Ferrari! Love to see that!!
