United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Orkney Grey
Greetings from a long time lurker !

Greetings All,

I've just joined the fold, but haven't owned a LR for over 20 years; when I owned a couple of classic LSE Range Rovers, and used to commute 150 miles a day in my 4.2 V8. Hard to imagine now Shocked The last one was a 1994 LSE softdash in beluga black, brooklands bodykit, black wheels and black leather. God I LOVED that car! This replaced a 1993 that I ended up getting converted to a 300TDI.

Recent guzzlers were my 2006 Mercedes GL420 CDI, which I loved and replaced a 2006 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, which was a disappointment on many levels.

Since dropping back to just my Renault Megane Coupe my wife and dog have not been happy, and to be fair its a horrible long distance car, when you want silence, comfort and space, so additional wheels were needed. I did also contemplate a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee Ecodiesel, or a Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV.

Lets be honest it should have been the Outlander to save money on fuel, but I wanted a full size that felt special. The Jeep would have cost over £100 a month more and have the risk of spun bearings etc, which is also the reason I avoid JLR 3.0 diesels.

So I've paid way too much for a 2012 Range Rover Vogue with 50,000 miles on the clock, but living in West Norfolk car viewing is at least a half day round trip and sparse pickings, so when I found one in a colour, interior and mileage I liked, I jumped at it.

The RR is basically mint and MOT history is clean with it only covering a few hundred miles a year for the past few years, which was why the prior owner sold it.

Externally its excellent, with no noticeable stone chipping, or corrosion, even on the tailgate. I saw a 61 plate in traffic today with a rusted out tailgate Crying or Very sad The inner rear arches have some surface rust and were packed with dry mud so that's the first job when I get it home. The interior other than a couple of marks on the drivers door still looks and smells new Very Happy

Hopefully I'll get a couple of years before I get bitten in the rump repair wise Laughing

Obviously I'll post pics when its delivered on Friday.

Laters chaps.

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Java Black

Hi All, A friend who is a Range Rover owner and avid fan, suggested I join FFRR in order to expand my info on Range Rover probs and generally improve my Range Rover all round. I have had my run of Discos through Mk1's to the Friday afternoon 4pm built Disco 3, a run of Toyota Amazons (brilliant tubs) but spares are the same price as for the Starship Enterprise, so I have bought a RR vogue 3.6 V8 2007......spares are plentiful and sensibly priced...goes like a rocket and pulls like a train and is a stable motor for our twin axle caravan. Here's to the future.

Norway 2005 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Buckingham Blue

Hi!

I recently bought my first L322 Range Rover, 4.4 v8 2005.
I have had other Land Rover products before, a 2006 Defender 110 TD5, and a 1998 Discovery 1 300 tdi auto.

Looking forward to share the RR experience here. Also a member of the Norwegian Land Rover club.

Best regards,

Sigmund - Norway

2 weeks into L322 ownership and it's only cost me £3k so far (worth every penny Laughing ).

My only regret is that I didn't buy one earlier.

My only fear is that I'm not sure I could go back to driving an 'ordinary' car.

Looking forwards to solving problems and replacing parts ( I've paid a garage to fix all the 'messy' stuff in the engine bay and the rest I'll DIY) .

I missed that with 5+ years of owning a 100% reliable German car that ticked all the boxes but which I never had any emotional connection with. '

I'm an L322 owner - what's more to say....... 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Brought her home today

Picked up a 2012 RR 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography today. 50k miles in super condition with good service history and brand new MOT. Had a lovely drive from Devon back home to Wales. I’ve had Discos and a Defender in the past, but it’s been six years away from LR and I’ve always fancied running a ffrr. Got it booked into a very well regarded local specialist garage to agree a maintenance plan. I’d like to run this car as a tourer for short breaks around the UK. Let’s hope I’ve made a good choice.

2016 RR Autobiography

Delivered yesterday from Grange Motors in Hadfield. For the last 10 years have driven Bmw 3 series so a great change. Love the driving position, and will need practise now on parking Very Happy

The incontrol seems complex, trying to get my head around getting internet connection in the car. This forum will definitely be on my favourite page! A 4.4 SD V8

Hi all

Welcome to fullfatrr.com, the brand new community web site for prospective owners, enthusiasts and everything else related to the Range Rover.

I'm Martin and I currently run DISCO3.CO.UK, RRSPORT.CO.UK and Freel2.com which are similar sites for the new Discovery 3/LR3, Range Rover Sport and Freelander 2.

Anyway, say hello here, please have a play with the site, and do let me know any problems or queries.

Enjoy!

Martin

Hi Martin
After a long excursion from DISCO3.CO.UK into Evoque land, I am back
under your umbrella!
Planning to get a fullfatRR 3.6 TDV8 as my Jaguar I-Pace can't tow a flea! And I need to pull an Ifor Williams around!

Stay safe

Ian

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Cairns Blue

Hi,
First time RR owner (excluding my wife’s one time I’ll fated ownership of a crappy LR Freelander) and after much debating, that nearly ended up with me driving a Navara, we picked up a 2007 Vogue TDV8 in Cairns Blue with biscuit interior yesterday.

Not had much time to drive it yet as I am currently working from home and it was for sale about two villages away, but looking forward to spending some time with it and getting to know it better but the few short trips I’ve managed so far have been a pleasure and the plan is to drive down to our place in Andalusia for Christmas.

There’s a few bits I’d like to get done first though, primarily getting some paint chips touched in and, if possible, changing the archaic head unit - which brings me to my first question - how can I tell if it has an amplifier already?

Photos to follow shortly.
