2011 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey
Front grille surround colour ?

Hello all,

Just picked up my first Range Rover having just sold a Disco 3.
It's a 2011 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 in Stornaway Grey, purchased from Marshalls of Cambridge.
The dealer was fantastic and the salesman Gary was first rate !
First impressions of the car are very good, what an engine and gearbox !

Anyway my question is do I get the front grille surround painted black as per the 2012, do I paint it and get the 2012 lights or shall I leave as is ? My main thought is will just painting the grille black look odd with 2011 headlights that do not have the black inners in them ?

Sorry about my rambling on, off to bed now,

Richard

Only an anorak would spot that you didn't have the inner black lights regardless of painting the surround black .... Thumbs Up

Have decided that it is actually only us on here who know the difference....

Actually it is only us who can spot the difference without prior knowledge between:

2002-2005 and
2006-2009 and
2010-2012.

Took me a while to get my mates to spot the difference. They thought i was bonkers! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I tend to agree with northern monkey.
It's great for me as I have a 2002 in cracking condition, nobody believes its so old when I tell them.

Yep, I also have to continually explain that a Premier League Footballer would not be seen dead in a 2007 Range Rover. Very Happy Geoff

Personally, I'd colour code it to the rest of the car.

I think the black looks odd - it stands out in a way that the grey doesn't

Might be easier to get a 2012 colour coded grill than to paint the old one. They often appear here via members who change their grills or via Dan at Duckworths or on flea bay. They take about 5 mins to swap.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Will probably leave as is then. Still very impressed with the car Smile

Will be back for some more advise soon then.

Thanks again .
