United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Ipanema Sand

had a Smart car a couple of years ago on a 2 year lease..
there was a lot of thumbs up when passing each other on the road..
after a while the novelty wore of. and was a PITA. especially after a bad day...when you see others are enjoying life!!

FF sticker sounds better though..a more discerning club... Very Happy 2011 4.4 TdV8 Nara Bronze

Here you couldn't acknowledge every FFRR you see you would get tired of waving very quickly, I swear about every 5th car is a Range Rover of some description.

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Ipanema Sand

I used to have an impreza and EVERY impreza driver waves at each other, its on par with the "bikers nod", as far as the RR is concerned , I don't think I've had a wave in nearly 2 years. I believe certain types that think owning a RR entitles them to be aloof and look down their nose at other motorists, and the last thing they would do is acknowledge a wave. I'm 55 years old, and long past the point of finding it interesting waving to a stranger who just happens to drive the same type of transport as me.

I've ridden motorcycles for 37 years and have never felt the compulsion to wave to another motorcyclists in all my life - Why ?

I think driving a TVR has to have had the biggest reaction when you see another, headlight flashing and a big wave, as if to say "2 of them are actually working and being driven at the same time, isn't that great?"

On a bike the nod thing is just something that has always been done to me so I feel un polite if I don't do it back.

United States 2007 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Java Black

It gets tricky here in Texas because everyone waves to everyone anyways (well, in neighborhoods and on small country roads at least). And I used to do it in my Jeep Wrangler because every other Wrangler driver did and I felt bad if I didn't reciprocate.

As for in the Rover now, RR drivers here in the states tend to carry a very snooty and snobbish stigma. I'm not sure if it's the same everywhere else but I can't imagine any stereotypical American RR driver waving to others. Ha. Now I kind of want to see it actually - a 70 year old man in a suit on his cell phone yelling at some poor intern, then looking up to wave at some kid in another Range Rover, or a rich little soccer mom in her Gucci pajamas with starbucks in one hand, putting on lipstick with the other taking the time to nod at another RR driver. Yeah. That ain't going to happen here. 2007 Range Rover Supercharged

Australia 2008 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Rimini Red

I don't wave here in Perth , because there is practically no one to wave to. Plenty of Spurts but just a hand full of Vogues it's referred to here and when I dropped in to the dealers the other day their comment was "wow a Vogue Supercharged , don't see them often " 2008 MY Supercharged
