Has anyone seen the official landrover.co.uk website?
There's something there which is rather amusing and at the same time worrying.

First the good part:
Our vehicle is not called a Range Rover but THE Range Rover. There's not a THE defender nor THE freelander, but just this one....

The bad part is the division between Land Rover and Range Rover branding, one in clearer grey the other in dark grey. This opens a way (maybe it's already active) for a spinoff of the LR and RR brand. Meaning you can see in the pipeline a mini Range?? a medium Range?? a people carrier Range???
Very worrying, terrible prospects.....

Mini Range Rover is already on the way = LRX is supposed to be sold under the RR banner isn't it?

Devaluing the brand has already started. Often when I say I drive a Range Rover, I'm asked if I mean a "sport". I tend to reply with something sarcastic, like "No, a real one".

But I'm sure it's a decision LR has earnt well out of, and will continue to do so...
