In car video recording on the cheap!

Just bought a TomTom cradle for my iphone 3GS. Positioned correctly, it records perfectly whilst on the move! 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

I bought one of these....

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...0410036677

I was really shocked at how good the quality is on it, I use it on every journey in the van, just wedge it between the front of the headlining and the windscreen, means if anything happens on the road, like someone pulling out on me and crashing, I've got it on camera.

I'll try and upload one of the videos from it to Youtube, although it was a 20min journey and about 1.3gb Laughing

I think I'll have to shorten it though. 2006 Mercedes CLS

how much was the tomtom cradle? Is it the genuine one?

I'm still on a griffin roadtrip, which works fine with tomtom. It will also transmit the directions through the radio using the FM transmtter

Just a quick question, what's the point of having a video recording camera? 2000 BMW M5, Avus Blue/LeMans Leather Interior

So that when someone pulls out of a roundabout in front of you and you stove into the side of their MG, then they say that they were on the roundabout first and its your word against theirs - you have proof. Rather than the Ins' Co going 50/50

It is a genuine one, yes. I paid £45 for it as its classed as "used" (no box). Looks brand new to me and works fine. 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

Ours are all TD6's. I believe the armoured ones are Censored slow, so much so they've started buying D3's instead.

Hoppy, I believe your lot give us 2 armoured P38's to cut up sometime ago, they sat on the drill yard at Thompson Street for ages

now that I remember some new US vehicles had this feature, but was just an experimental procedure! It used a continuous recording method and it only recorded moments prior to the crash!
