BM54 Upgrade with IPod connection

Decided to treat my 2002 Range Rover HSE to the BM54 upgrade from Baris. After discussing the options with him, by phone, I opted for the amp & firmware upgrade, iPod connection and 2 x preouts.

Even though my HSE had the OEM BM54 and Power Amp system I always felt it was lacking. As soon as i switched the upgraded system on you can notice the sound quality is considerably better than the standard system. Just having a simple iPod connection is also a major plus. Especially since the CD player finally gave up the ghost.

The next step will be to add a suitable subwoofer to the pre outs to give it that additional low end boost.

I can highly recommend the upgrade and the service from Baris was first class. Thumbs Up

Just some feedback from someone who's done it - why not also get the bluetooth? The sound quality is as good and then there's no cable. I never use my cable these days - having said that I play music from a phone not from an MP3 player, and not all MP3 players have bluetooth.

It cost me £179.95 for everything including the return postage.

The amp upgrade was £99.99
iPod cable £50.00
Preouts £20.00

His website is at http://www.carphonics.co.uk/landrover.htm. The BM54 specific items are at http://www.carphonics.co.uk/bm54upgrades.htm

You can have bluetooth streaming for £60.00. I went with a cable connection as I have an old 80GB iPod that was lying around.
